What was disputed, and how it came out
Each issue the panel decided, with the reasoning it gave. An outcome is what this panel did on this record — not a rule, and not a prediction.
The Board rescinded the prior order approving compromise and release and returned the matter to the WCJ for further proceedings, indicating the petition was granted for procedural reasons without final merits decision.
From the decision · page 1We have considered the allegations of the Petition for Reconsideration. Based on our review of the record, and based on the correspondence by the parties regarding the need for MSA approval, we will rescind the February 18, 2021 Order Approving Compromise and Release and return this matter to the WCJ for further proceedings as determined appropriate by the WCJ and a new decision. This is not a final decision on the merits of any issues raised in the petition and any aggrieved person may timely seek reconsideration of the WCJ's new decision.
